The UQ Journalism and Communication Society, also known as JACS, was founded in 2006 to meet the professional, academic and social needs of the Communication and Arts student body. We are run for students, by students!
JACS offers support for students and provides so many exciting opportunities for our members. We have so many exciting events planned for 2022. Check out the Events tab for all the info and be sure to follow us on Facebook to be kept in the loop!
A COVID-19 update
Our priority at JACS is the safety and wellbeing of our members. Given the recent measures implemented by the Australian Government in relation to coronavirus, the JACS executive team has decided to postpone all of our future events until further notice.
We encourage you all to follow the advice of the Australian Government, Queensland Health and The University of Queensland. This is an uncertain and stressful time for all of us, so we also encourage you all to be kind to one another and stay connected – JACS is a community, and our DM’s are always open.
In lighter news – this doesn’t mean JACS is done for the semester! The team has been working hard behind the scenes to brainstorm new ways to connect you all with the industry, and with each other. We have some exciting things coming soon, so don’t forget about us! Everything will be posted here and on our Facebook page, so stay tuned!
